Febrile Antigen
Lorne Lab’s Stained Febrile Antigen Kit is a reliable serological testing solution consisting of stained bacterial suspensions formulated to detect febrile infections associated with Salmonellae, Rickettsiae, and Brucellae groups. Each reagent contains carefully prepared inactivated (killed) and stained febrile antigens that react specifically with antibodies present in human serum. When mixed with serum samples containing corresponding antibodies, visible agglutination occurs, enabling accurate identification of infection.
This kit is suitable for use with both slide and tube agglutination techniques, making it highly flexible for different laboratory workflows and testing environments. It is designed for qualitative detection to confirm the presence of antibodies, as well as semi-quantitative assessment to evaluate antibody titers over time. This allows clinicians and laboratory professionals not only to diagnose current or past infections but also to monitor disease progression, treatment response, and immune status dynamics.
The Febrile Antigen Kit consists of 8 vials, each containing 5 mL, with each vial containing a suspension of a different bacterial antigen, as listed below:

Storage
Do not freeze. Reagent vials should be stored at 2–8 °C upon receipt. Prolonged storage outside this temperature range may result in a more rapid decline in reagent reactivity.
