Micros Razor – High-Precision Microtomy Solution

Micros Razor offers a high-precision cutting solution designed for maximum stability and ease of use in modern histology laboratories. Its flexible clamping system and blade holders ensure consistent, high-quality sectioning results, supporting efficient workflows even in high-volume specimen environments.

Section Thickness Precision

This instrument is engineered to meet the most demanding microtomy accuracy requirements, with a section thickness range from 0.5 µm to 60 µm. Cutting precision is ensured through highly accurate stepped incremental settings:

• 0.5 µm increments for 0.5 – 2 µm
• 1 µm increments for 2 – 10 µm
• 2 µm increments for 10 – 20 µm
• 5 µm increments for 20 – 60 µm

Universal Cassette Clamp

A quick-release clamping system compatible with all commercially available cassette types, ensuring time-efficient sample changes.

Specimen Orientation

Designed to accept fully adjustable object clamps on both X and Y axes, providing precise and flexible specimen orientation.

Object Clamp

Equipped with a fixed upper jaw, guaranteeing maximum stability during sectioning. This mechanism allows for fast and easy replacement of the object clamp.

Knife Holder Base

Compatible with various knife holder types. A key advantage of this base is its ability to utilize almost the entire blade width, an important cost-saving feature, particularly for laboratories with high specimen throughput.

Knife Holder R

Accepts standard steel blades and tungsten carbide knives. Supports semi-thin sectioning technology, as well as the use of triangular glass knives, sapphire knives, and diamond knives (for these special knives, Type G knife holder is available).

Disposable Knife Holder Base Unit

Equipped with a quick-release clamping system specifically designed for low-profile disposable blades, ensuring safe, convenient, and efficient blade handling.

Specimen Clamping System

An integrated clamping system that allows quick and easy replacement of object clamps, enhancing user productivity and workflow efficiency.
