Double-Layer Membrane Filtration Technology
The most distinctive feature of this instrument is its double-layer membrane slide preparation technology, which operates through a highly precise mechanism:
- First Layer: Filters out large mucus fragments and coarse tissue debris.
- Second Layer: Removes smaller cellular debris and red blood cells.
- Final Result: Diagnostic cellular components and pathogens are retained between the two membrane layers and then evenly transferred onto the slide without deformation and with minimal overlapping.
This method effectively overcomes the limitations of single-layer membrane filtration, such as cell aggregation or uneven distribution, ensuring a clean smear background that is easy to interpret.
High Processing Speed
Designed for high productivity, the instrument is capable of processing up to 150 slides per hour. It can handle two samples simultaneously or operate with a single sample as needed, providing excellent operational flexibility.
Full Automation
Equipped with advanced sensors and precision motion control, the entire slide processing workflow is managed by an onboard microcomputer, eliminating the need for manual intervention. An elastic buffer device ensures uniform pressure during cell transfer, preventing damage to cellular morphology.
Wide Range of Applications
The system software is highly flexible and supports a broad spectrum of cytopathology tests, including Gynecological (GYN) and Non-Gynecological (Non-GYN) samples such as sputum, urine, fine needle aspiration (FNA), and serous effusions. Membrane pore sizes are optimized according to test type: 7.8 µm for GYN tests and 5 µm for Non-GYN tests.
Reagent System
The cell preservation solution is ethanol-based, effectively removing blood and mucus while maintaining cellular morphological integrity. The instrument package is supported by a complete range of consumables, including filters, slides, and disposable pipettes.
